Introduction

Toksik is designed to be local‑first. Your data stays on your device. The only time any content leaves your device is when you explicitly press a button to use AI Insights; then, only the necessary text is sent securely for processing and not stored by us.

Plain‑English summary

• No accounts. No cloud sync by default. No ads or tracking.
• Entries, emotions, tags, settings, and analytics stay on your device.
• When you invoke AI Insights, only the needed snippets are sent for processing, then discarded.
• You can export or delete your data anytime in Settings.

When data is sent (only on your action)

AI Insights (Premium, on‑demand)

• Triggered by you: content is sent only when you press the AI button.
• Scope minimization: only the necessary text snippets are sent.
• Processor: requests are sent to our AI model provider for inference.
• Processing and storage: we do not collect, log, or store your entries on our servers. Requests are sent to our AI model provider for inference and are not used to train the provider's models per our configuration. We do not retain any of your content server‑side.
• Result: the generated summary is displayed in the app. We do not store the input or the output on our servers. If the app lets you save a result, it is saved locally on your device only.
